Captain Lou Baggett is truly a native saltwaterman. Six generations of his family have fished some of the best back country waters of Southwest Florida. A full-time U.S.C.G. licensed Captain, Lou has been guiding anglers in his native Southwest Florida waters for over 35 years.
Capt. Lou provides more than a fishing charter; he provides a total fishing experience. Whether you are looking for giant Tarpon fishing in Boca Grande, or stalking Redfish, Snook, Trout, or other species in the backcountry, Capt. Lou knows how to ensure your best catch. Being a native and having fished in the Boca Grande, Charlotte Harbor, Englewood (Lemon Bay), Placida, Venice, and Sarasota fishing grounds for so many years, Capt. Lou has the experience that most guides do not have
I love to fish with families. I grew up fishing with my family and still do. There is nothing like seeing a child catch his or her first fish! I would love to enjoy a fishing experience with your family and share my passion.
Capt. Lou invites small private parties of up to six passengers to share his vast knowledge of the area and the beauty of his home waters. Given the natural beauty of Southwest Florida's eco-systems any day on the water can be an awe inspiring experience. Porpoise and Manatee are found regularly cruising the calm waters in search of their next meal. The shrill cry of Bald Eagles and Osprey can be heard as you drift slowly through the Mangrove Islands. Pelicans are the local air patrol, gliding and diving with grace. Many different species of Egret and Heron patiently stalk the shallows waiting for careless fish to come too near. Sunrises or sunsets bring fire to the sky, which provides a majestic opening or closure to any day in "paradise".
I sanitize my boat and cushions before every trip and provide a sanitized cooler with clean ice, licenses, tackle, bait, everything we need to have a great fun day. You provide what you like to eat and drink, camera, hat and sunblock. Please do not bring a cooler.
